Does anyone know what to do with an appliance with a damaged electrical cord?  Our crock-pot cord got damaged and even though it seemed like the wires were fine and we covered it with electrical tape, it doesn't work and shorted out one of our outlets.  Any advice on home remedies?  appliance repair shops?  Melody
