We have had two more incidents of crime on Jackson St - 6400 block. One involved non-neighborhood kids stealing pop from a porch, not heinous, but still unacceptable. The other, involved the brandishing of a gun by two youths - not sure what type of gun, but the police were called and came promptly. The police have emphasized calling 911 to report ANYTHING that is uncomfortable. We have had several sightings of 10-20 kids walking down the middle of the street around 10-11:00 pm. The police want to know about this. The neighbors are having a meeting on Wed 8/2, to discuss the organizing of an effective network system, surviellence cameras, and a block watch so our kids can feel safe again.
