All of the recent emails about Smiley's reminded me of this email (below) sent to the list a few weeks ago. I thought it was such a great idea--I thought maybe I could do that every week or two... yet I've not yet gotten myself over to Smiley's to follow through on it, partly because it also would require taking the stuff to the ARL, partly because life has so many demands, etc. So I'm wondering whether we could organize a small group of people who would be willing to donate $5 or $10 a week or every other week or whenever to buy stuff from Smiley's for the ARL and we could take turns running the supplies over to the ARL? Maybe Smiley's could set up a fund or something that people could donate to and then one of us could take whatever that buys to the ARL? Anybody interested? Any other ideas?
