Hi! I just signed my kids up for a great art-based foreign language immersion camp, located right here in the middle of Highland Park--my kids will be able to walk themselves there are back. :-) The two weeks of camp will be at St. Andrew's, July 12-16 and 19-23. There are full-day and half-day options, and there are four languages to choose from. (I'll be sending two kids to French, two to Spanish, and two to German; I have four kids, and two are taking two sessions. The other language is Japanese.) For each language, the children will be lead through an art class, utilizing many media, all run in the chosen language. Sounds like a really fun way to learn language! Unfortunately, the sessions will not be able to run if there aren't enough kids signed up.
