Thank you for the robust response to my inquiry regarding the pediatrician! In summary most recommended the following groups/doctors - listed in no particular order of rank/preference: 1. Dr. Anderson, East Liberty Family Health Center 412-261-2802 2. Dr. Hildebrandt 412-363-7700 3. CCP-Pittsburgh Pediatrics (Drs. Butler & Stewart) 681-1050 4. CCP-Bass/Wolfson (Drs. Wolfon, Breck, Kovel, Davitt, Voight) 422-3590 5. CCP-GIL (Drs. Indorato, Glick, Somers) 681-2200 6. CCP-Oakland (Dr. Romberger) 683-5534 It also appears from the responses that there is not a group in Highland Park for parents - although there is a clear interest in forming a local Parenting Support Network or something similar. Once the dust settles a bit in our new home, this would be something I would be interested in pursuing with those interested parties. Becky Moore provided a link to a greater Pittsburgh resource for parents interested in getting together for activities, specifically a group called "modern moms" and one she is co-organizer "punk rock parenting": http://newparents.meetup.com/386/?gj+sj5 I have already logged on and it looks like a wonderful resource to get plugged into. This morning I found a kitten in a tree in my back yard on De Victor Place, he/she may have come from a house on Heberton. I have no idea how old he/she is, but it is pretty small. Gray cat, no collar. there is a wonderful childrens festival at peabody high school field this saturday from 12-6. there will be games, art activites, entertainment, inflatibles, food, a community mural painting and more. everything is free. please come and enjoy. the event was put together by ten high school students through the East End Cooperative Ministry. muzz meyers
