[Highland Park] Smashed Car Windows on Stanton

Hello, neighbors This morning, between 6:30 & 7:20 a.m., perhaps as many as 15-20 cars had a window smashed out on Stanton between Highland & the tennis courts near the park entrance, with the heaviest concentration between Highland & the bend in the street. I called 911 around 7:30. The dispatcher initially said the owners would have to report it, but since there were so many, she said she would send someone to see if the guilty party(s) were still around. Not every single car was hit - sometimes it was the driver window, sometimes the back, at least once the rear window (in an SUV). The SUV still had things in the back that weren't taken, so I don't know if theft was the motive. Because I didn't notice anything when I was driving down from the tennis courts toward Highland around 6:30, but only on the way back, I think it happened this morning rather than last night, though I can't be sure. Just wanted to alert you about this. The teenager that was cutting my lawn this summer and doing some light yard work for me has left for school. I'm looking for someone that can take over and help with some basic weeding, light pruning, shrub trimming and cutting a postage sized amount of grass. Hi everyone! Sorry for the short notice but I am in need of a babysitter for daytime hours Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. My daughter's regular daycare provider had a family emergency and I'm scrambling to find some to watch over her while I work these two days. I've had great responses before when I've posted on here...in fact there was a wonderful girl I found who's number I've since lost (I don't need a sitter that often)...maybe she'll respond again! Anyway, I'm a chef and I work downtown...the hours needed would be 7:45 am to around 4 pm (or earlier). My daughter Angie is 6 and doesn't start school until Thursday. [Highland Park] Stolen iPod

My video iPod was recently stolen from my car near the corner of Mellon and Callowhill. It was a (rather expensive) birthday present from my wife, so I thought I'd make an appeal to the neighborhood. If anyone has any information about a video iPod in a black, rubbery "skin" along with a car adapter, please let me know. If you remove the skin, my name and phone number are actually imprinted directly on the device. Please, if anyone can help me, I'd just like it back. We can't really afford to replace it.
