Hi, I'm looking for recommendations on a few things. 1. A company that installs various types of air conditioning (not necessarily central air, looking for someone to spell out options). 2. Someone to check over my heating (boiler/radiators) system. 3. Someone to clean out, possibly cover gutters. [Highland Park] mechanic recommendations?

I've heard rumors about a HP mechanic (Bruno I think) who was highly recommended yet I can't find the person who initially told me about him. Does anyone know or have other suggestions? I have to do the whole 75,000 mile servicing, get everything checked and don't want to go to the dealer (VW New Beetle). Please let me know and thanks in advance! Terese

In the wake of all the windows being broken or shot out, does anyone have the Zone 5 non-emergency number handy? [Highland Park] Broken Car Windows

There were also a number of cars (atleast 3) with windows broken on Farragut Street at the intersection with Wellesley Ave around the same time. The police were notified as well and did show up at the scene. A neighbor noticed a red vehicle driving by and heard the sound of breaking glass.

I need to replace the old, rusty downspouts to my gutters on my 2-story Victorian home, and would consider doing some/all of it myself. Does anyone have suggestions on a good supplier of specialty products around here? I am looking for a greater range of products and materials that Lowe's or Home Depot can supply: 4", round, corrugated pipe. Does anyone have experience with the difference between aluminum and galvanized steel (prices online seem about the same)? Has anyone worked with a local firm that installs gutters/downspouts at a fair price? Thanks, Kai Gutschow

The Round Up Sunday Pony Rides at St. Andrew's on Hampton Street had to be "post-ponyed" today, alas, due to the midmorning rain showers. The plan is now for the sun to be shining NEXT Sunday, September 16, and we're looking forward to welcoming the Pony and having fun Pony Rides then!
