i was walking back from walnut market on monday and behind one of the houses on the corner of euclid and bryant, i saw two boys, maybe 10 years old or younger, with a small fire lit. it took me a few seconds to realize what i'd see, and when i doubled back they had stamped out the fire and were gone, but in light of what everyone else is posting about kids in the neighborhood, i thought it was worth adding to the list. genevieve hampton st.

[Highland Park] night visitors on Farragut Street

Hello Neighbors, We live on Farragut right off Jackson. When I got into my van this morning I noticed the center console and glove compartment opened. I had accidentally left the van unlocked overnight at the of our long driveway and someone opened the car and went through everything. Nothing was taken. We keep a porch light on all night and a light in the back yard. Neighbors tell me that Farragut has experienced very little with this type of attempted theft. Please be sure to take all valuables out of your car at night. Thankfully, my car is only full of empty juice boxes and other icky things. Joan Soulliere
