[Highland Park] Gently used queen size bed box spring

We have a used queen size box spring that are willing to give away to the first person that can haul it away. It's 10 years old, but was used on our guest bed, so it didn't get much usage at all. it's in great condition. (A few years ago had to buy a split-type box spring to get it up the stairs in a rental apartment, so this one's no longer needed. ) Please note: this is the box spring ONLY; not the mattress. You must be able to haul it away; I can't help you with that. So you will need a truck of some sort. We are located on Portland near the zoo/park area. Email privately for directions. Thanks to everyone who responded. Here's the list of recommendations for fence builders. (These are in no particular order, I'm just passing on the exact info that was sent to me) (1) Axel Claussen did my fence, it is awesome and I cant recommend him highly enough. You can come over and see it if you like, we live at 6413 Jackson. The fence is in the back, on the right if you are facing the back of my house. He has built fences for my clients as well as for myself. He is quite serious about what he does. I constantly have people ask me who built my fence. You may tell him that Dan Landis from Prudential Preferred Realty referred you. (3) North American Fence, located in Tarentum. The've done many fences in Highland Park and their bid was much less than Allegheny Fence. They will tell you what houses they did so you can take a look. (4) We used Sears many years ago (5) I am a Highland Park resident as well as a general contractor. [Highland Park] Wanted: Spanish Books for Young People

I was recently in Nicaraugua and visited a community library for young people. The library was started as a volunteer effort in the town of Granada and is not funded by local government. So I an hoping to collect books--mostly in Spanish--for young people. Does anyone here have any books they'd like to donate? I am looking for early readers, picture books, story books, fiction, poetry, etcetera. I'll be glad to pick up the books and can send them to a U.S. address where they will be shipped to Granada. This library has a great feel to it. The day I was there (in December), the kids were making and decorating Christmas cookies. The library is a wonderful haven for young readers but getting enough books on a steady basis is difficult. Barbara Paull

If by some odd happening you just recently have heard a neighbor having a crowing chicken, please inform the police. Or, if you happened apon them and are making them of a pet, please return them to 922 Mellon Street where they belong. Their back yard is obtainable from Costar way. And of the worse case scenerio, if you have knowledge of an incident of the Rooster and Chicken, please infrom the police. And yes, they did have their feathers. [Highland Park] Gardener Recommendations?

Hi -- We're looking for a gardener to do a relatively small job: we'd like someone to come and remove the old plants near our house and put in new bushes/flowering plants of our choosing. Neighbors, I'm looking to purchase chair(s) like the one pictured in this attachment. A few years ago I purchased three of these at a HP yardsale. They are very well made and so I'm looking to replace our other diningroom chairs with these ones. I suspect that they originated from East Liberty Presbyterian Cathedral Church. They are just like the ones pictured in the classrooms in the church's 1935 dedication book. I've unsuccessfully searched the internet for them, but figure that I would have more luck finding them within the Highland Park neighborhood. They might have been made by the Grand Rapids Equipment Corp. which is listed in the book, but there are two other woodworkers listed also. My chairs are unmarked.
