The project incorporated shared lane marking symbols (seen below) as a tool for allowing bicyclists safer travel through streets too narrow for bike lanes. Based on the federal selection, the City is required to submit an annual report detailing the impact of the marking. As a result, the City is surveying both cyclists and motorists to gauge the impact of the marking. The link included in this email is to a survey to gauge motorists' opinions of the marking. The survey will be on-line until 7/03/09.
