I need recommendations for a good audiologists in the area if anyone knows of any. I am in the process of obtaining In Ear Monitors (Link<http://www.westone.com/content/287.html>, Link <http://www.ultimateears.com/_ultimateears/store/custom/ue11pro.php>) which require a mold of ones' ear, so an audiologist is required for both an order and an impression. [Highland Park] Lost Dog?

On the way out this afternoon (11:56am exactly) an off white/gray "poodle"-esk type dog was walking up the 6000 block of Jackson Street. - Curly hair - Bright red collar (too far off to see if there were tags or not) - Walking towards the park - Very skinny and brittle looking That's all I got while speeding off - sorry. Hope it helps if this dog is really lost, Dean.

This topic was addressed by a triagulation between local police, the FBI, and ACORN, a housing advocacy group. Other vetted organizations have arrived at a similar conclusion. d

[Highland Park] Stray white/orange cat

A seemingly stray (but very well socialized) cat is hanging around my yard the past few days. He keeps coming back and would be easy to catch if he belongs to someone. I'm over in Morningside, but perhaps he could have wandered from Highland Park. He's a male, I think unneutered, not kitten-size but not all that old - maybe 2-3 years old? White body with orange striped tail and some orange/light brown patches on his ears and face. He's very friendly and not at all afraid of people, or of my indoors cat up against the window yowling at him. He's dirty and his fur is matted - I get the impression he's been outside on his own for a bit. No collar/tags. Anyone know him, or is anyone looking to take in a sweet cat who needs some love, if he keeps coming around and I can't find his owner? I don't think our household can support more than the three we've got, but he seems like a sweet little guy who'd make a lovely addition to someone's home. S

[Highland Park] Abandoned Homes

Hello Members, It is funny that everyone is posting in regards to the abandoned homes. The worst part about this situation for me and my family is the rapist was living I believe in one of the homes across the street from my home! It was said on the news that the rapist was living in the 900 block of North Saint Clair Street, so I can only assume it was one of these homes. It is very scary because my stepmother and myself work at night a lot, and this could have been one of us easily. I heard that the Highland Park community organization owns the one home it has been abandoned for many years why isn't being fixed or sold, or even torn down? The other home unfortunately caught on fire, but the family is working to have it restored. How do we rectify this and keep our community as safe as possible? Francine M. They are moving to Italy, but have experienced a delay as their visas have been taken longer than expected.
