I believe in data, and the scholarship behind a wealth of documentation supports the assertion that dwellings left vacant, irrelevant of the reason, but evidenced accutely in the upsurge due to the foreclosure crisis, are the causal behind a pandemic increase in crime incidents. This topic was addressed by a triagulation between local police, the FBI, and ACORN, a housing advocacy group. Other vetted organizations have arrived at a similar conclusion. d
