Hello neighbors, I have at least 4 or 5 large peony crowns to give away - yours for the digging. The color is very light soft pink. I have a rose bush - pinkish purplish small multi-petaled variety - yours for the digging. I have a smaller Hydrangea (blue flowers fading to pink) - yours for the digging. This is a good time of year to transplant - not too much strain from hot weather when establishing a root system. The only thing I ask is that you bring a small bag of garden soil to fill the hole(s). Please let me know if you are interested in some or all. Joan Soulliere Farragut Street

Sometime yesterday night or this morning someone stole a hibiscus plant from our front porch. I know it is a small thing, but my husband and I really loved that happy plant. Its sunny flowers brought positive energy and a touch of Florida to our house. Seems like mischief from kids... It wasn't worth any money--just sentimental.

Dear Friends, This Friday, September 11th, Green for All and the Hip Hop Caucus are calling citizens across the country (so far in 80 different locations in 24 states) to join together in remembrance and service. In Larimer, a group of dedicated citizens are working to have an event in their neighborhood. Get Larimer, with the support of Green for All and GTECH, is hosting a Green The Block day, with loads of good events. We are starting the day with the Larimer CleanUp - Starting outside the Kingsley Center (*6435 Frankstown Avenue*) at *3pm*, and looping through Larimer, picking up trash and redding up the area. >From there, we're moving over to the Shadow Lounge for a Green Economy Panel - hear from local experts and advocates about green jobs in our region - where we are, where we're going from here, and more. We'll be there (*5972 Baum Blvd*) around *6pm*. After that, enjoy the company of good people in a cool space as we hang around the Shadow Lounge.
