All, Could you be a Highland Park ambassador? Next Sunday, more than a thousand people will be visiting Highland Park in search of bargains and collectibles. Volunteer ambassadors are needed to hand out yard sale listings and provide directions to visitors as they enter and roam the neighborhood. We work in two-hour shifts between the hours of 9am and 1pm, assisting visitors who are excited and appreciative of the volunteer help. Everyone is encouraged participate. It is a good community service project for young teens and an opportunity for parents and their children to work together and show the region what Highland Park community spirit is all about. Get involved, have some fun, and stop by the Bryant Street Festival afterwards to celebrate with the neighborhood. Turns out I'm not the jogger I'd hoped to be! :) It comfortably seats any size child who can sit on his/her own, and also your Graco infant carrier seat will clip into it safely. Hello Neighbors! With the help of our generous business community, I have put together an outstanding raffle to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). I am looking for a 2 panel, interior, solid wood door that is about 30X80 inches for a renovation project. If you have one around that you would like to sell for a reasonable price, let me know. It does not regenerate rapidly and is vital to the swamp ecosystem. It is a waste of a good and magnificent tree to grind it up and throw it on your garden.
