[Highland Park] homeowners inssurance

I had damage this winter because of the storm. My insurance company, Travelers, paid for it. Now they claim that they did not add a surcharge because of the claim, since it was a catastrophic situation. Yet my insurance premium went up quite a bit. I wonder what other people's experience has been, and do you have an insurance company you would recommend that did not raise rates. many thanks, Irina

[Highland Park] looking for home(s) for 2 kittens

We have been feeding a feral cat, and she had kittens 8 weeks ago. We are now looking to find homes for 2 kittens. We are in the process of working with animal rescue league to trap the feral cat and have her spayed so this doesn't happen again. The kittens are very cute. They have been living with us for the past week or so, and every day they become more affectionate. They have been around children since coming into our home, and we have been making it a point to handle each kitten several times a day. Has anybody had any experiences - good or bad - with any of the three companies? Dear Highland Park Landlords/Property Owners, My two roommates and I, all graduate students at Pitt, are looking for a 3-bedroom apartment or house in the Highland Park area. Two of us used to live in the neighborhood and we're interested in returning. We will be here for another 2 years or more while we finish our programs and would love to find a safe and clean place to call home. We are responsible and respectful tenants and we have always taken care of the properties where we've lived. We have one small, clean, and well-trained cat whose owner would, of course, be willing to pay reasonable pet fees. Ideally, we would like to find a place with a washer and dryer and some outdoor space. Our current leases expire July 31st, so we are looking for July 15th to August 1st availability. Dear Neighbors, We have cleaned the garage. I have a LOT of plastic pots - mostly smaller and leftover from plants bought at nurseries this summer. There are a few large (gallon and 1/2 gallon). If anyone is interested, they're free for the taking. Please let me know and I'll put them out for you. I also have a Lee Valley push mower with sharpening kit for sale: $40.
