[Highland Park] Lost Dog returned to owner!!

Neighbors, Good news! The little dog we found wandering in the 1100 block of Heberton has been returned to her owner!! The owner called the Animal Rescue League in the morning and they connected us even before I could take her down there to be scanned.....and yes, she DID have a microchip!! The pup's name is Roxy and she is about 2 years old. What a relief that this ended with a happy reunion. Martha Schaefer

Caroling and Tree Decorating Join us on December 12th for Caroling and Tree Decorating! All activities commence at 6808 Greenwood Street (Near Rep. Costa’s Office). Caroling 5:00 PM – 5:45 PM – Carolers gather at 6808 Greenwood St, and caroling will commence at 5:05 PM. No experience is necessary, but we do ask that participants wear a bright colored scarf and bring a flash light (to read the music), if possible. Tree Decorating 5:30 PM – Not the caroling type? [Highland Park] great Christmas tree service

We got a beautiful, fresh, straight Christmas tree delivered and set up in our house from Josiah Leisher (jleisher(a)gmail.com; Telephone 814-450-7738) for the same price we used to get smaller, dry trees at various places across town. I highly recommend him to anyone who would prefer not having to do the slow drive home with the tree on top of the car, and then lugging it inside the house, and then wrestling it into a tree stand. [Highland Park] Lost dog

This evening around 6:30 PM we found a small dog wandering down the 1100 block of Heberton. She seemed to be limping, but once she came inside (she came to us right away) she is fine. She is about 15 pounds, female, young, brindle color with a white tuxedo front and paws and is as sweet as can be. We have fed her and are keeping her in because of the cold weather, although my three cats are not enthusiastic. She has a red collar on her and brown eyes. I have registered her with the Animal Rescue League in case anyone calls in. If this sounds like your dog, give us a call at 412-363-5821. In the morning I will take her to see if she has a micro-chip. Martha Schaefer
