Description: This very cool, Vintage Carola Nightingale Child's Phonograph Record Player is a metal cabinet with adjustable lid, is disassembled, and appears to be missing the platter where a record sits. The lid has two open positions. The cabinet exterior's paint has mostly worn off and there is surface rust, both of which I expect would would be easy to clean up, but many people prefer the patina of time and value an unrestored surface, so I didn't do more than brush off loose paint chips. Images online include the inside-top and bottom, and outside top and all sides. There are also pictures of the parts. I know NOTHING about how it goes together because I bought it to use as a side table. I loved it for its looks and was pleased I could put small things inside, where its mechanical parts are currently stored (the cabinet is meant to hold records, I’m told. I have no idea if the needle will work once you add a platter and anything else it might need. (I assume the needle is what is in the small gray circle laid out on the paper in the top right corner, but I could be very wrong). The cabinet's record storage door is missing its wooden knob but opens easily by grabbing from the bottom edge. Original reproducer and small amplifying horn. Original winding crank and tension spring, so I expect the motor winds and runs, if only the platter wss there to turn. The cabinet measures Approximately 10.25" W X 12" D X 22" HT.
