Furniture moving

Hi, I’m in need of 2 strong people to move several items of furniture in my house: - 2 large dressers from the 2nd floor to the front porch for donation pick up; - 1 medium dresser from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor; - 1 desk from the 3rd floor to the basement; and - 1 large and very heavy plasma tv from the 2nd floor to the basement (unless anyone on this list wants to take it for free). I also recently purchased a very large rug and 1 piece of antique furniture from a house on Farragut that will need to be moved to my house on Negley. A truck or van would be required. I’m hoping to get all of this done by the same people, on the same day and within a week or two. Let me know if anyone is interested so that we can discuss compensation and logistics. Thanks for reading this message. You may not know the East End Cooperative Ministries runs a homeless shelter in the 15206 area. It's within walking distance of Target. I stayed in their emergency shelter after I was displaced by a fire. They saved me from the dangerous heat, fed me, provided a safe place to sleep, and importantly treated me with dignity. They use their resources efficiently, treat their staff well, and they in turn treat those in their care with compassion. They're good at what they do. They're having a clothing drive for coats. Sofas - free

We have a pair of matching sofas available for free. Take one or both. No stains, but we have a cat, so the lower corners have some fabric damage, especially on Sofa A, as shown in the photos. You could trim the hanging threads if you don’t have a cat to make it less obvious (but if you have a cat, I wouldn't because more scratching might cause greater damage). Sofa B is clearly in better shape. I took photos of front, back and all corners, and labeled each within the photos to help you inspect. The white squares are NOT patches. They were my attempt to indicate Sofa A and Sofa B on slips of paper, but it was too blurry to read. That’s why I added red text on the photos. Location is between Shadyside and Oakland, near Winchester Thurston School. They are positioned right by the front door, which has seven steps from the curb. Dimensions: Because of the curves, which are different on each end, I measured the longest dimension and also include the size of the bottom cushion. Sofa: 85” Length x 38” Depth x Height 28” Cushion: 65” L x 21” D Foot print of Legs: 77.5" L x 32.5” D Height from floor to top of cushion 18”; Arm rest is about 12” above cushion First come, first serve, but if you don’t need it right away and no-one else wants/takes ahead of you, you can ask to delay your pick up date.
