Has anyone had an Energy Audit? Do you have a recommendation for a service/professional? Each month I open my Duquesne Light Home Energy Report with dread. It consistently reports that we have higher energy use than similar homes: we have all energy star appliances, LED bulbs and TV, instant hot water heater, and I walk around turning off/unplugging like a crazy person. Something is in the air for kids' lost/misplaced items because I ran into a few on my walk today around Highland Park. :) I found this little puppy lovey on Grafton today. It seems pretty new, and I didn't want to just leave it there. Both of my kids would be devastated if they lost their stuffy/lovey, so I want to make sure it got back to its owner. Thanksgiving potluck

Hi, neighbors, We would like to reach out to those of you who may have nowhere to go this Thanksgiving. Perhaps you have no family here or cannot get home this year. I like to include anyone who has nowhere else to go as Marty and I have been there many times. We are hosting a Thanksgiving potluck on Thursday November 23, 2023 at 6:00 pm. The potluck will have a mixture of interesting non-traditional as well as traditional Thanksgiving food. So we'd like to coordinate what everyone is bringing so that all bases are covered. We’ll make a turkey breast. Our philosophy about Thanksgiving: It's a time to be thankful for all of your blessings, including all of the people in your life. We'll eat as soon as everyone arrives (after taking a few minutes to share what we are thankful for) and then perhaps we'll play some games after dinner with those who wish to stay. ***To attend, you must have received your updated for 2023 Covid vaccine (or have recoverered from Covid recently) by November 9, 2023*** If you are interested, please RSVP (yes or maybe) so we will know how many to expect.
