The frame is a sturdy wooden, simple design from Ikea, in a neutral color (sort of a grey-brown), very minimalist. Bed slats. Both are out of the snow on my front and back porches, so they stay dry. Greetings, Please join the HPCC's February *virtual* community meeting where we'll be hosting our local magistrate, Judge Mik Pappas. Judge Pappas' office will be moving to Bryant Street later this year. Not only can you learn more about Judge Pappas and his work, you can help shape the court's art! Judge Pappas will be joined by local artist Kyle Holbrook of the MLK Community Mural Project who will be creating indoor murals for the court. This meeting marks the start of their effort to seek public input into the court's art, which will be visible from the sidewalk. They will share examples of Kyle's past work and of historic courthouse art, and begin a community discussion on what justice means today. Please join us on Zoom. *Published:* 02.14.2021 *Contact:* Timothy McNulty Communications Director Mayor's Office 412-660-1999 timothy.mcnulty(a)pittsburghpa.gov City Prepares for Latest Snow and Ice Storm PITTSBURGH, PA (February 14, 2021) With snowfall in excess of 8 inches predicted for early Monday morning through Tuesday morning, the City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works is preparing for road salt treatments and plowing citywide. Residents with on-street parking are asked to park vehicles as closely as possible to the curb to allow for the best treatments of roadway travel lanes. Forecasts are for snow to fall from 3 a.m. Monday through 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. Public Works plans to have over 50 trucks starting at 10 p.m. Sunday night, salting roads in advance of the storm and plowing as the storm arrives. Monday daylight crews will deploy over 70 trucks salting and plowing. Additional crews will be out Tuesday morning, salting and shoveling City steps, sidewalks, and bridges. Crews will work around the clock servicing City streets until the storm has passed through the area. The City Snow Plow Tracker App <https://pittsburghpa.gov/weather/snow-plow-tracker> will be activated throughout the duration of the storm. Public Works is asking residents to park vehicles as far away from the travel lane on their streets as is reasonably possible, to give plow drivers room to safely service roadways. Travel on City streets will be difficult on Monday, especially Monday evening, as crews work through salting and plowing neighborhoods.
