My loving sweet mom is in hospice care and they only gave her a maximum of 2 weeks to live. I'm so sad. I need to find my forever home once she passes, but plan on staying with my mom until the very end. I'm looking for a very special family who can be understanding of my situation and who can be patient about my adoption date, since we don't know how much longer my mom has.I'm an exceptionally sweet and laid back 6-year-old chocolate lab mix. The humans say my temperament is exceptional. I'm fantastic with dogs, cats, and kids. I'm not a crazy, jumpy, in-your-face kind of pup like other pups. I'm relaxed and gentle, and appreciate my naps a ton. I am spayed and house-trained.Before my mom adopted me through Cross Your Paws, I lived in a crate in Kentucky for 18 months. It was terrible, and my mom's dying wish is that I find a home with people who spoil and love me like she has for the past 9 months. Because of my past, I'm a skittish girl. It takes me some time to get comfortable with people. Even still, I'm not aggressive when I'm scared. I will need a family that can give me a few weeks to warm up to them. Humidifier — free, with a catch

Wondering if anyone might be interested in this humidifier. It works great and I just bought two new filters for it. The problem is that every half hour or hour or sometimes longer, it beeps a few times. The beeping indicates the need for a new filter. It doesn’t actually need a new filter because I just put a brand new one in. You’re supposed to reset it once you replace the filter and that’s supposed to stop the beeping. But alas, the reset isn’t working. I’ve had this for about five years and reset it successfully loads of times. I’ve tried many suggestions that I’ve found online and none of them work. In hopes of keeping this out of the landfill, I thought I’d ask if anyone wants it. Perhaps you’d use it in a daytime scenario where the occasional beeping won’t be annoying. Or, maybe you have hearing loss and won’t hear it at night :). Free, including two new filters. Found keys today on wellsley ave between Heberton and Sheridan. Put them on top of the retaining wall. There are many keys, a giant eagle tag, and a black plastic buckle clip.

Styrofoam recycle

Is there someone on this list who collects block Styrofoam until there is a sufficient mass to justify a trip to the southside recycling center or appliance warehouse? I think I've seen it, but now that I have a stack of Styrofoam that is too much to put in the trash but too little to justify a trip to the South side, I wonder who that might be. Thanks, Diana

Hand painted Christmas ornaments for sale

I am an East Liberty native who moved back to the 'Burgh this year, and I have just opened an Etsy shop selling my hand painted ornaments (I have attached photos of a few as examples). My current focus is hand painted slate (cut from old roofing tiles, 2.25"x1.25"0.25" rectangles or 2.25"x2.25"x0.25" squares) featuring a variety of Christmas scenes and objects such as figure skates, snowmen or Christmas trees, and even a newsboy/scally cap. I also have a limited number of Pysanky eggs with traditional designs and a few featuring animals. These would be great for an ornament exchange, Christmas present, or holiday decoration for yourself or someone else! Hello neighbors, I am looking for a 2-drawer filing cabinet, preferably metal and not too deep (15”-24”, ideally). The volume of paper documents in my life has exceeded the capacity of several smaller storage containers and I’m losing my mind trying to keep track of what’s where. It’s time to consolidate. Shallow 2-drawer units in decent shape are surprisingly hard to come by on the used market, but I’ve seen the listserv work magic time after time.
