Lastly, the Zone 5 Council is serving hot meals to the first 100 neighbors to attend the Community Vaccination Clinic in Homewood on Thursday, December 14 from 11am-2:30pm. If you or a neighbor need a hot meal or a Covid or Flu vaccine please join us. Walk-ins available but signup is preferred. See attached flyer for more information. Hi neighbors, Does anyone by chance have a connection to a company that takes recyclables? I'm looking particularly for companies that take 1-7 plastics and cartons (like the ones used for milk and soup) and I'm specifically looking for information about what happens to the stuff once they have it. In other words, I'm looking for a company that takes recyclables and can offer a reasonable assurance that the stuff is recycled rather then ultimately sent to a landfill. Michael Brothers is the obvious company to try but I haven't been able to get them to share any information about what they do with either the plastics or the cartons once they collect them (one person on the phone there said that they hand them off to another company but couldn't tell me more. She gave me an email address of someone at Michael Brothers who she said could share more information but he hasn't responded to multiple emails.). Happy to explain why I'm interested. Thank you!
