Seeking gardening help

We are looking for someone to help with our flower beds this season (4ish perennial beds in a small yard). It would be several hours initially to get things cleaned up, and then monthly/biweekly maintenance through October, as your schedule allows. Great job for social distancing; we won't bother you at all while you work! 😂 We are just across the river in Sharpsburg. Melanie

Masks

Hello neighbors, I had 76 masks when i started and they are all gone. The box is empty! Please if you have time make masks for all our para medical professionals. This is not a mask for hospital nurses in operating room! These are masks that are mostly used I am told to cover their Professional masks and exchanged with each patients so the N95 they re- used can last longer.They get washed and reused. As I was doing this I found that a double piece of light wire inside a piece of fabric and tucked where the bridge of the nose will make the masks even tighter around the nose. Also if you have some Pellon (used for stiffening regular fabric) and non woven fabric is actually really good at stopping contaminants. It is widely used in Washington state in between the cotton layers.. Another very good liner is vacuum HEPA rated bags. I used all I had. if you have any to donate please put in the box on my porch. Also remember that ties are much better than elastic in the long run. Please everyone, there is cotton fabric on my front porch if you don't have any and lots of simple masks ideas on Youtube. Get to your sewing machine, please the demand is great and things will get worse before they get better. Such a small way to help out our brave care givers. Thanks a lot, Elisabeth

HOMEMADE MASKS FOR A FORGOTTEN GROUP

ALL, This is such a long shot but does anyone know of a sewing group who can make homemade fabric masks? Child Welfare caseworkers are still visiting homes and still seeing kids and parents and are without any face protection. I'm aware that fabric masks aren't as good as the real ones but they do aid in keeping one's hands off the face. Caseworkers have been provided gloves. Their job is essential and little of it can be done from home. If anyone knows of someone who might be interested, let me know.
