After reading several articles on safe Halloween practices, most of which discourage door-to-door Trick or Treating, I am wondering what we in Highland Park have planned. Neighbors, The fruit tree planting at the Urban Farm and Orchard in Larimer originally scheduled for this Thursday morning has been rescheduled for Sunday October 11 at 9:00. Volunteers are still needed. Please bring a mask and if you have gloves, shovels and water bottles. However, there will be extras if you need them. The orchard is located off if Meadow Street. Hi, Neighbors. I have volunteered to work the polls in November and will be an elections clerk at Dillworth School. Being a newcomer, I could use some tips on getting through the unbelievably long day. I already know to dress in layers simply from my experience voting at Dillworth over the years, as it can get really hot in there. But what else do I need to know? If you have worked the polls at Dillworth and have any advice for me, I would appreciate a call. Or if you know someone with experience at Dillworth, would you be so kind as to pass along my request?
