Oct 15 HPCC Meeting to include Super Playground Redesign Public Engagement Workshop

HPCC Members, Friends and Neighbors, The Super Playground is the large wooden playground on Reservoir Drive. As many of you are aware, the playground was built by the community in 1991 and was designed to last 20 years. We've been able to extend its life a bit but it is now in need of a full replacement. The new playground will utilize the current playground’s footprint and will be designed and built with the same emphasis on creating a unique, creative playspace. The City, its designer Merritt Chase, and the HPCC are asking for your input through a public community design process this fall with actual construction starting next spring. We hope you will participate! The first community input session is kicking off with a public survey (link below) followed by a virtual workshop at the next *Highland Park Zoom Community Council meeting on October 15th at 7:00 p.m*. Free compost Tumbler

I have replaced our compost tumbler and will be putting the old one out for trash collection tomorrow evening. As you can see by the photo, the plastic clasp ring has worn through from years of steady use and now when turning the drum, the door sometimes flips open when the load inside hits the door on the way around. If you think you can fix/deal with this, you’re welcome to have it. It’s a good machine otherwise. Let me know if you want it and I’ll hose it down (the roller stand where the compost drains is pretty gunky.) If it’s going to the trash , it’s going gunky! Hi Highland Parker's, I started some blue false indigo seeds in containers and they sprouted. I now have a number of very small plants and I'm wondering if it's worth planting them now? Wait as long as weather permits in containers then plant? Any wisdom to share? Thanks for your help.

Hello neighbors, I’m passing along a 27 inch Sharp TV. Given to me, works fine I just don’t need it. Pick up in East Liberty. You will have to come inside for pick up but I will remain distant! Cat-friendly home. Also giving away an infant/toddler tub, about a dozen toddler bibs, and a bag of doll clothes, which are mostly build a bear sports outfits.
