Bike rack for van

Car Detailing Recommendations

Dear Neighbors, Thank-you for your feedback! The detailer who tried to overcharge me has moved out of the neighborhood. I was disappointed that we do not seem to have a detailer in Highland Park / East Liberty. If someone does have a good experience with a local detailer, please post it. Afterall, wouldn't you rather drop your car off and have lunch at Park Bruges (or a beer at the new Lorelei beer hall and bistro on Baum and Highland which opens on Thursday) while you wait for your detailing to be finished? Here are your comments: I had very good experience withZiebert's Tidy Cars at 800 Royal Blvd in Shaler 412-486-4711 Jim Wilson won't overcharge Our family has always used a gentleman named Maurice. He will make your car spotless. He also doesn't charge enough for the amount of work that he puts into his work. The phone number for Maurice is412/626-4519 or 412/761-4080. Feel free to use my name. He does an unbelievable job. Marian There's a car-detailing place on Ellsworth Avenue at the corner of Maryland Ave. and Ellsworth in Shadyside, if you're willing to take your car there. I honestly don't know how good they are or how expensive. Hi, I have the best. his name is Charlie Vagnozi, Vagnozi Automotive 412.389.1585. located in Lower Burrel.very honest and inexpensive. he made my husbands car look like new. Tell him Elisabeth sent you. I've used shadyside detail, located on ellsworth ave. You do have to make an appointment and take the car to them - they did great work and, based on the mess that was our car after a 30 day road trip, it didn't cost nearly as much as I was expecting. We recently used Fort Pitt off the cars in Sharpsburg. They did a fabulous job full detail inside and out. Between the undercarriage the engine the wheels. It's a large SUV and it cost around $200. Duquesne Light Power

Did anyone receive notice that the meters were being replaced? I came out of my house this afternoon at 6534 Jackson and saw two police, their car, yellow tape blocking off the street, a Duquesne Light Truck and worker next door. The police said they were called because a line was down. When I later checked they had disconnected my neighbor's power and no one was around. There was a note on her door telling her to have her tree trimmed before they can restore power. For all they knew, she could have needed a respirator at night or some other medical necessity. No questions were asked of me or her. Unless notice was given that Duquesne Light was coming around, this was very irresponsible. Frank fncz

Porch thefts again

I had been given a nice electric weed whacker, and had kept it on my front porch as I was planning on giving it to a friend who has just moved back to town. It has, of course; been stolen. This is the 4th (at least) instance from our porch alone in under 2 years. At this point it's more sad, and disillusioning than it is annoying. Cheer Brett Sent from my iPad
