* For Immediate Release 3/16/18LEVEL UP SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION NOW OPENLevel Up Studios is now enrolling students for their annual summer camp program, Learn, Create, Empower, Change. The Learn, Create, Empower, Change curriculum is designed to use, dance, design/ visual arts, and creative writing to explore identity enhancement among students ages 6-18 years old. Level Up Studios brings together an ensemble of professional artists and creative leaders committed to developing the next generation of Pittsburgh artists, social change leaders, and entrepreneurs. Their mission is to create an enrichment opportunity accessible to students from low-income communities and under-resourced schools. The core values of the curriculum are as follows: Learn to create, Create to empower, Empower to change.The program will be based on an educational curriculum that ties in the hip-hop culture and experience. Running two cohorts from June 11th- 29th and July 9th-27th, the program will be broken down into 3 week intensives (introduction to Hip Hop Dance, Creative Writing and Visual/Design Arts.. The students will be taught according to their age and will be broken up into two groups of learning. Youth- ages 6-12 and Teens- ages 13-18. It is intended to improve their academic, cultural and artistic interests while developing each student as an individual. During the final week of the program, students will display everything that they have learned through a showcase. Location TBAInspired by hip-hop culture and created out of a passion for community reinvestment, Level Up serves as a creative playground for artists and cultural enthusiasts while aiming to make art, music, and movement accessible in life, not just the classroom. The studio encourages students to explore the ideals through experimentation in the arts while building the skills to develop future career-related interests in addition to self-confidence and cultural awareness. I know most people aren't willing to share their valuable people, but if you are, we'd love any recommendations you can provide. Morningside 10U softball

Hi, neighbors. I’m not sure how many of you are aware, but Morningside has a pretty robust athletic program. However, we are in danger of not having a 9/10 year old team because of a lack of publicity around it. There is a very brief window where we may be able field a team, but we need a few more girls who would be willing to join. The trick is, they really needed to know by last Monday. If you have any interest in your 9 or 10 year old daughter playing softball in a super convenient location in Morningside, please let me know Friday and I will put you in contact with the person coordinating this attempt to save the program.
