Whether you're traveling to see friends and family or hosting your own gathering, I hope that your holidays will be filled with warmth, community, and companionship. The holidays are also customarily a time to consider giving back, and one way you can do so is by renewing your HPCC membership, or becoming a member if you aren’t one already. Free Cordless Screwdriver/Drill

I have two cordless devices, one Ryobi and one Black & Decker, that I no longer need/use. They work fine, but do not hold a charge for very long. Once charged, I can use them, but if I go back days later, the battery is very weak. I can't plan ahead enough to charge them an hour before I need it. I have not used either one for about a year, since I bought a smaller screwdriver. They are sitting on my front step at 931 Mellon Street. Come by and take one or both. Each one has the charger and 2 batteries. The BBC Christmas Eve broadcast of the Service of Lessons and Carols from the Chapel of Kings College, Cambridge, is for many around the world one of the great highlights of the season, gathering the traditional Advent and Christmas readings from Scripture--and with anthems, carols, and hymns in response. We can enjoy this beautiful and very meaningful service "closer to home," as here at St. Andrew's in Highland Park our Parish Choir and Schola Cantorum and Readers from the congregation and wider community will lead Lessons and Carols at 4:30 p.m. this Sunday, December 17. A "High Tea" reception will follow in Brooks Hall, and all are invited. Union Project Snow Day Camp - 12/29

School's almost out for winter break - come celebrate in the studio for a one-day-only Snow Day Camp at Union Project on Friday, December 29th! Campers will spend the day exercising their imaginations through clay, paper, fabric, and more. Your child will stay warm by creating a delicious hot cocoa mix and building a sculptural ceramic mug to go with it, cozy up while designing a DIY scarf, and experiment with pastels and papers to create a beautiful winter wonderland - all in one imaginative and art-filled day. The camp runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm and is available to campers ages 7-12. Campers should bring a sack lunch.
