Hi, I am looking to purchase several pieces for new home (sofa/sectional, living room chairs, rugs etc..) Been to Lazy Boy, wondering where else to shop around. Quality is important...over 5k for the couch/fabric I liked at Lazy boy is a bit steep...suggestions are appreciated!

Lecture Weekend! Friday AND Saturday!

The annual St. Andrew's Lecture is always a great opportunity to hear a significant speaker take on themes of interest and relevance. During the past few years we've invited folks to "come back on Saturday morning to talk about it." This year's Lecture speaker will be, as you know, Bishop David A. Zubik of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, and he is going to be speaking about his take on what we're calling "the era of Pope Francis," especially as this era has seen renewed interest in ecumenical relationships both globally and locally. That's Friday, September 23, 8 p.m. Really looking forward to this . . . . Saturday morning, September 24, we're invited "back to St. Andrew's" from 9:30 a.m. until noon or so for a follow-up discussion. We've invited several folks to take a leadership role as panelists, to kick things off. Then we'll have opportunities to talk together. Coffee and refreshments will be available from 9 a.m. onward . . . . Our “panelists” this year will be the Rev. Eric Andrae, Campus Pastor at the First Trinity Lutheran Church in the Oakland neighborhood and Chaplain for the Lutheran Student Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Brendan Ashley, a recent graduate of the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and under care in the ordination process of the Pittsburgh Presbytery, the Rev. Liddy Barlow, Executive Minister of the Christian Associates of Southwestern Pennsylvania, the Rev. Natalie Gessert Hall, who serves on the National Lutheran/Episcopal Coordinating Committee and the Ecumenical Affairs Committee of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, and Mr. Michael J. MIngrone, President and Executive Officer of the East End Cooperative Ministry, in the East Liberty neighborhood.
