My four month old is having a bit of a sleep regression right now such that I'd love to have him back in my room for a month or two. (Waking up every hour some nights....) However my bassinet is very small and he is rather big. If anyone out there has something they'd be willing to lend me for a month or two (at most) I would be so grateful! A week at Rachel Carson's Maine Cottage

Dear Neighbors, The Rachel Carson Homestead Association has kindly been given the opportunity to reserve Rachel Carson’s cottage on Southport Island in Maine for the week of July 15-22, 2017. To help fund operations, RCHA is offering only 100 chances at $100 each for lodging at this 4-bedroom oceanside summer cottage. Rachel Carson selected her spot on the Maine coast, designed and had this summer home built from which she enjoyed and wrote about tide pools and the surrounding woods. This ”Edge of the Sea” cottage has a screened porch, western-facing deck from which to view the sunset, paths to the ocean, and granite outcrops with sandy tide pools. Other attractions include whale-watching, kayak and bicycle rentals, and more at nearby Boothbay Harbor. After getting a couple of estimates, we are using Champion. They got us in the soonest and had a good price. Information-gathering, I learned that people sometimes put in french drains when they aren't needed. (If anyone wants to be bored by a description of why our house does need them, backchannel.) Recommended companies (besides Champion): Mariani and Richards Sisko Waterproofing (412-901-3091 <(412)%20901-3091>) - not used, but interviewed and liked Fountain Home Improvements - ditto
