HIGHLAND PARK CRIME ALERT - Copper Downspout Thefts

All, Last week we had (4) thefts of copper downspouts in the area of Bunkerhill, Callowhill, N. Euclid, and N. Beatty Streets. We then went several days without any thefts but I just learned that we had another (2) this weekend. We are making this area a priority patrol area and I have also authorized a surveillance detail as manpower permits. Please be vigilant. If you see a car (or most likely a pick-up truck or work van) that looks out of place (or is carrying scrap metal or copper gutters, etc) please CALL 911 and report it. Most of these thefts occur overnight. Make sure the exterior of your homes are well-lit (motion-activated lights are great tools). I will keep you posted on any updates or breaks in the case. Does anyone have shinguards and shoes in good condition that their child has outgrown that you'd like to part with at a reasonably discounted price? Hello All - glad to say that the pastured broiler chickens are finally ready! Pick-up is on Wednesday, August 19 in Highland Park (details below). And, there are just a few of these meat chickens still available! If you are interested, email and we will set them aside for you for Pick-up Day. What's Good About these Chickens? All birds have been pasture-raised, which makes for much tastier meat. They are out there in the sunshine and grass, doing what chickens like to do, and are moved to fresh pasture twice daily. The flyer with more info is attached. What to Expect on Pick-Up Day: Stop in anytime from 4-8pm at Bryant Street Market, in Highland Park. Starry Sky Farm will be there to distribute your birds and collect remaining balance due, based on weight (cash or check). Your chilled chickens, processed that morning, will be packaged in clear plastic bags, ready to cook or freeze. Starry Sky Farm looks forward to meeting you there! Lost Cat!

Hello all, Our indoor/ outdoor cat is missing. He is a brown tabby with dark brown spots and stripes. He has a green collar on with two tags. One is with his name MOSES and a phone number and the other is his rabies. He is not the friendliest although we love him. Please, if you see him we would greatly appreciate any information.
