Love HoneyBees? Love all the food we have as a result of Honeybees? Would you love to support Pittsburgh's Community Apiary this Saturday? We would love your help!!! BURGH BEES will be having a workday at the Community Apiary on Saturday, July 11th. Open to Everyone Please give as much time as you can between 9am and 2pm. The Apiary is located at 6900 Block of Susquehanna St, 15208 - in the Homewood Neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The areas of focus will be the following: 1. Weeding beds and around the pathway 2. Mowing, Weeding, and Trimming 3. Getting our new plants into the ground. 4. Mulching Paths 5. Food, Fun and happy honeybees!! Please spread the word...invite anyone you know!!! Things you can Bring tools for weeding (shovels, trowels, hand rakes), spreading mulch (garden rake), wheelbarrow, clippers, gloves, etc snacks/refreshments to share (e.g. fruit, coffee, bagels, growlers, snacks) Please email Jeff Shaw, Apiary Director, if you are able to bring any of the above items or would to help out!! jeff(a)burghbees.com 412-576-3590
