Loving but must be queen of her castle cat

We have a loving but MUST be the only pet in the house. Kitty is an 8 yr old light grey and white striped cat weighing 15 lbs who we came to the painful decision must go to a loving home. She sleeps most of the day on my bed and uses her scratch posts religiously. She loves to eat. She loves to play fetch with her toys and catnip toys. However we became the parents of a 5 lb morkie who has tried so hard to be buddies with each attempt ending in a scratch or attempted bite from the cat. Take the dog, who I adore, is pleasant, friendly with every dog, cat, person, she meets. I can't afford an injury requiring a trip to the vet each week. He advised us to find Kitty a good home but solo in the home. This week morkie is having surgery, and I am so afraid kitty will hurt her. She doesn't deserve to be hurt with such a loving personality. I know Kitty is miserable having the little dog here, although I thought she might have fun. [Highland Park] maintenance complete

Highland Park Neighbors, The Highland Park Neighborhood email list is back up after weekend maintenance. The one big change that you’ll see affects mail from AOL and Yahoo users: These messages will now be “from” the mailing list. Replies will still go back to the sender. All the changes I’ve made since April of last year are for compliance with the very strict anti-spam and anti-forgery measures that mail providers such as AOL and Yahoo now employ. The change to the “from” header applies to mail submitted through any mail provider that uses the DMARC p=reject technique, but right now that’s mostly just AOL and Yahoo. Gmail supposedly will start doing it next year. Please send to neighborhood-owner(a)highlandparkpa.com if you’re having any issues with the list. If you file the messages in your Junk mailbox or otherwise report the messages a spam it hurts the reputation of our list and affects delivery to our users. Let me know if you have ANY problems or questions concerning the Highland Park Neighborhood email list. Rudy
