We have a loving but MUST be the only pet in the house. Kitty is an 8 yr old light grey and white striped cat weighing 15 lbs who we came to the painful decision must go to a loving home. She sleeps most of the day on my bed and uses her scratch posts religiously. She loves to eat. She loves to play fetch with her toys and catnip toys. However we became the parents of a 5 lb morkie who has tried so hard to be buddies with each attempt ending in a scratch or attempted bite from the cat. Take the dog, who I adore, is pleasant, friendly with every dog, cat, person, she meets. I can't afford an injury requiring a trip to the vet each week. He advised us to find Kitty a good home but solo in the home. This week morkie is having surgery, and I am so afraid kitty will hurt her. She doesn't deserve to be hurt with such a loving personality. I know Kitty is miserable having the little dog here, although I thought she might have fun.
