Highland Park Neighbors, The Highland Park Neighborhood email list is back up after weekend maintenance. The one big change that you’ll see affects mail from AOL and Yahoo users: These messages will now be “from” the mailing list. Replies will still go back to the sender. All the changes I’ve made since April of last year are for compliance with the very strict anti-spam and anti-forgery measures that mail providers such as AOL and Yahoo now employ. The change to the “from” header applies to mail submitted through any mail provider that uses the DMARC p=reject technique, but right now that’s mostly just AOL and Yahoo. Gmail supposedly will start doing it next year. Please send to neighborhood-owner@highlandparkpa.com if you’re having any issues with the list. If you file the messages in your Junk mailbox or otherwise report the messages a spam it hurts the reputation of our list and affects delivery to our users.
