WOMEN HARVEST Growing Food, Families and Empowerment Come connect with other women in Pittsburgh and the region who grow food, garden, cook for & care for their households with food, and are interested in health/ food/womens empowerment. Pennsylvania Women in Agriculture Network (PA WAgN) has been around for 10 years to support women doing these things, and is looking to better connect and empower women across the region and the city with diverse ranges of experience around food. The more we understand each other, the more we can support each other. Bring along a sweet or savory snack to share if you can but it is not required. Drinks will be provided. Hi neighbors. We are selling an electric washer and dryer with matching pedestals, all silver color. Purchased December 2012 and never used (still in wrappings). Kenmore Elite front-loading washer. Each appliance is 39" high, 30" deep, 27" wide. Each pedestal is 14" high, 27" deep, 27" wide. Paid $2500 total on Sears close-out sale. Asking $800. Join us for a panel discussion on public education with Senator Vulakovich and A+ Schools Community Liaison Graham Mulqueen. Senator Vulakovich will discuss public school funding and the budget impasse. Graham Mulqueen from A+ Schools will talk about Common Core and its impact on PSSA scores. The event is the monthly meeting of the Highland Park Community Council with council business at 7pm and speakers starting around 7:30pm. It is held at St Andrews' Church at 5801 Hampton Street.
