Nice church pew purchased from Construction Junction about 4 years ago. In pretty nice shape, and heavy! You will need to bring a few people to help move it. See photos in the ad: http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/fuo/4221680133.html $100 or best offer! You haul. 64.5" long and 32" tall, solid oak, beautiful church pew. Unsure of what church it was rescued from. Some markings on the seat and back from use in church, has not been used much in my home. Makes a great piece of furniture indoors, or seal it and add it to your porch or patio! You haul. Very heavy--you will need at least two people if not 3. Must take it down 4 outdoor steps. The Zone 5 Public Safety Council meets on the second Tuesday of most months to discuss public safety issues and updates from throughout Zone 5. Residents attend to share information, trends, and successes from their communities; supply the Zone 5 officers in attendance with tips and emerging problems from their neighborhoods; and learn from Zone 5 officers and guest speakers so that they may inform their neighbors, blockwatches, and community groups. The details of the January meeting are as follows: Tuesday, February 11th 7:00pm Union Project, 801 N. Negley Ave Special guest: Councilwoman Deborah Gross, District 7 At the last meeting, Diane Daniels was elected as the new zone council President and Stacey DiRenzo was re-elected as Secretary. Their terms will include 2014 and 2015. Congratulations and thank you to Diane and Stacey! Diane had been in the middle of a 2-year term as Vice President, thus her election left the position vacant until the next election in January 2015. Emily Keebler, immediate past-president, was appointed to fill-in as Vice President for as much of the remainder of the term as she is able. Very professional. Sell a product line and reasonable. They installed several storm doors for me. They were better quality than Pella. A fraction of the price. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We did our own work, but contact my friend at Chris Saxton – Energy Swing Windows They build and install. You can go out and watch yours made http://www.energyswingwindows.com/ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We've used Thermal Twin to replace all of our windows (didn't do them all at once) and had no problems. They've come out and fixed some screens that were torn from a tree branch and adjusted some windows that wouldn't lock after our house shifted. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thermo Twin Windows in Oakmont. Manufacture their own windows. Got good price, good installation and service. www.thermotwin.com/ Windows, doors, siding and more. I was very satisfied with them. They came to the house and reviewed all types of windows they have and gave a free quote. They have vinyl, wood and aluminum. Also got quotes from Anderson Renewal and Pella Windows but their prices were too high. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We highly recommend Pella, a national firm with a strong Pittsburgh presence. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We have both Andersen and Pella window replacements. Much prefer Pella even though more expensive. For each job, he was on time, on estimate, and cleaned up everything. He is also courteous, clean, and kind. The products and installations have been stellar. He is the only contractor I have worked with about whom I can say these things. Window Installation Services was top rated on Angies list. They beat prices for quality windows from the various manufacturers. Came when they said they would, did great job, & cleaned up. Windows are great (got Marvin). - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I used to think Thermo Twin Windows were the 'bees knees'. I've recently had quite a few problems-the windows are about 10 years old. Thermo twin will "stand behind" their product for a $65 fee-just to come out and look at the problem. I wouldn't use thermo twin again. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We used Window World and found them to be the cheapest in their quality grade. We love the windows and didn't have any problems. Best of luck! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We used Universal Windows Direct. We dealt with one of the owners, Lou Holzer. He was prompt, efficient, and got back to us immediately. The job was bid and it cost exactly what he had down on the proposal. ST. ANDREW'S 101: A SURVEY COURSE: Each Spring around St. Andrew's we like to offer a short "Inquirer Course" for those who would like a brief and focused introduction--both for those who may be new to the community and for those who may have been around for a while, and even a long while, who might desire a "refresher." This will be an especially good opportunity for those who may wish to prepare to be Confirmed or Received into the Episcopal Church when Bishop McConnell visits on May 18. The Inquirer Course will begin on Wednesday evening, March 19, with an overview of the basics of Christian belief. On Thursday evening, March 27, we will discuss the history and heritage of the Anglican family of churches. On Wednesday, April 2, we'll take a look at the history and character of our Episcopal Church. On Wednesday, April 9, we will focus on St. Andrew's Church--our history, our common life and worship, our mission and ministry. Finally, on Wednesday, April 30, we will take a look specifically at the "Rites of Initiation" in the Book of Common Prayer--Baptism, Confirmation, and Reception into the Episcopal Church. Each session will meet in the Upstairs Conference Room of the Old Rectory. Each will begin at 7 p.m., and we'll be on our way home by or before 8:30 p.m. Participants are invited to come for all sessions, or for as many as are of interest and convenient.
