Hi All: I appreciate the many responses that have already come in concerning our request for information regarding Dilworth. Upon reflection, I realized my initial email was overly vague about where my wife and I are at in the process. So, to clarify... we started this process over a year ago and have indeed gone through applications, fairs, school visits, the lottery, etc. We are aware that Dilworth is a magnet school. Currently, our son is fairly high on the waiting list, so we are anticipating the possibility that he will be offered a spot there. Also, several of you took the opportunity to mention Fulton. I want to thank you for doing so. In truth, it is, and has been, our other serious school for consideration (or possibly our only consideration if we don't make it up the wait list at Dilworth). I had intentionally left Fulton out of the first email as I was looking to avoid having responses that unnecessarily took the form of a Dilworth vs. Fulton comparison. We are really trying to look at the merits of both schools, independently, while recognizing that both are outstanding in their own ways. We have also been able to visit Fulton twice and have gathered a lot of info about it. Having said that, we would be thrilled to also hear of the experiences of parents who have children at Fulton. Attached please find two lists of streets that reflect City of Pittsburgh Public Works street resurfacing work to be done next week (Aug 12 - Aug 17). Several District 7 streets are scheduled to be milled or paved. Streets will be posted with No Parking signs at least 24 hours in advance, but *please help us to spread the word to your neighbors *who may work unusual shifts or be away from home* to prevent vehicles from being towed or trapped in garages/driveways while work is taking place. * This list is subject to changes due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Hello Neighbors Im trying to help out a family member who has been ill and in and out of nursing homes and hospitals for the past few years. His home has been vacant, vandalized and appliances taken , We are trying to assist him in moving back into his home and he needs the following refrigerator stove mattress box springs frame microwave kitchen cabinets I have some money but not much so free would be helpful . The gas is off and the money that I do have is needed to restore plus there is a mold issue...ugh what a job! The roof has been repaired and the lights are on (blessing) I was trying hard not to have to post this mess but I thought it would be worth a shot, one day it might be me needing the help!
