Hi All: I appreciate the many responses that have already come in concerning our request for information regarding Dilworth. Upon reflection, I realized my initial email was overly vague about where my wife and I are at in the process. So, to clarify... we started this process over a year ago and have indeed gone through applications, fairs, school visits, the lottery, etc. We are aware that Dilworth is a magnet school. Currently, our son is fairly high on the waiting list, so we are anticipating the possibility that he will be offered a spot there. Also, several of you took the opportunity to mention Fulton. I want to thank you for doing so. In truth, it is, and has been, our other serious school for consideration (or possibly our only consideration if we don't make it up the wait list at Dilworth). I had intentionally left Fulton out of the first email as I was looking to avoid having responses that unnecessarily took the form of a Dilworth vs. Fulton comparison. We are really trying to look at the merits of both schools, independently, while recognizing that both are outstanding in their own ways. We have also been able to visit Fulton twice and have gathered a lot of info about it. Having said that, we would be thrilled to also hear of the experiences of parents who have children at Fulton.
