This week, I purchased three tickets to the August 17th Pirates game as a gift, but a change of schedule has forced us to choose another game. The tickets are for section 325, row G, seats 15-17 and the game is also a Pirates hat giveaway. With the game already sold out at the box office, I had to purchase the three tickets at a markup for $129. I'd like to get my investment back here, but I'll entertain any offers. I've had a really great time at several games this season and can't reccomend making it out for this special year enough! -Louis Peterson

[Highland Park] Any Dilworth parents out there?

Hi All: With only a few weeks to go, my wife and I are still trying to choose an elementary school for our son who will be entering kindergarten. Dilworth is one of the potential schools on our list. The school seems to have a great reputation but we have not had much luck getting in contact with the school for a followup visit since their open house last October; several messages left at the school over the last six months have gone unanswered. In lieu of reaching the school directly, we were hoping to hear from parents directly associated with the school. If you are a parent of a child at Dilworth and wouldn't mind sharing your thoughts about the school (its strengths/weaknesses, what type of child would do well there / might flounder, what to look out for, who to get to know), we'd love to hear from you. [Highland Park] Bazaar at St Raphaels in Morningside

St Raphaels Church on Hampton Street in Morningside is having their annual Bazaar starting tonight (Thursday) and running thru Sunday night. August 8-11. The times are 7-10:30 pm. Just be aware that there will be lots of folks, and bands will be playing, so there will be noise. In addition, on Sunday, 8/11, the church will be celebrating the festival of St Rocco. This means that after 4 pm Mass (probably around 5 pm), there will be fireworks going off as everyone leaves the church. Then at 10 pm Sunday night, there will be fireworks launched from Heth's Field. I would encourage you to attend the festivities, as the proceeds of the Bazaar go to the school. And I wanted to warn everyone about the noise that will be happening. Bob
