Pittsburgh Society of Artists presents the 3rd Annual ARTday with PSA Saturday, June 29, 2013 from10AM-4PM The Pittsburgh Society of Artists (PSA) presents the 3rd annual exhibit ARTday with PSA, a one day celebration of our PSA artist members and the art they create. The event was created to give tribute to, and offer appreciation for, the diverse and extraordinary talent of PSA artist members and their creativity. It is a time to provide enjoyment to members, friends and the public and to celebrate the joy and meaning that art brings to the world. See hands-on demonstrations by PSA artists. Our musical members will also be sharing their performing talents. Various media will be on display, including prints, paintings, drawings, fiber, jewelry, glass, sculpture and more. All works will be for sale. Art may be purchased directly from the artist. The event encourages all members to be actively involved by exhibiting artwork and engaging in on-site arts activities. The event is FREE to the public. The event will be in the Mine Factory, a space on the 2nd floor, 201 North Braddock Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15208. This is in Homewood, just north of Forbes Ave, across from the East End Food Co-op. The duo South Wind, will perform at intervals throughout the day. Singers and multi-instrumentalists Annie Trimble (also a PSA member) and Curt Cooper form the duo. South Wind presents a variety of acoustic traditional and contemporary folk music, including songs from the Child's collection of early Celtic music, to songs of modern Appalachia. Contemporary and original folk songs, a wide repertoire of children's songs, and traditional old-time dance tunes round out South Wind's program.
