Hi! My daughter Jerilynn took the American Red Cross Babysitter's Certification training class downtown this past weekend, and is very interested in starting her babysitting career! She is 11 years old and the 2nd of 5, and we have a 7-month-old baby in the house, so she not only has the official training, but a lot of practical experience with infants (and diapering!) to draw from. We live on King Ave. I would prefer it if her Mother's Helper jobs occurred within reasonable walking/biking distance. Otherwise (given my 5 kids and already-burdened schedule) the employer would have to pick her up. We homeschool! This means that scheduling is more flexible for us than for your average potential Mother's Helper, although we do have a full outside-activities schedule to contend with. Greetings, all. I recently asked for recommendations for cement contractors. Here are the names I received. Thank you! Mary Anne DiBucci is the best - sign their work because they stand behind it. Baleno Concrete has done 2 jobs for me to great satisfaction. I’ve seen them in the neighborhood doing other work. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. To All Highland Park Residents, The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police will be conducting evening range practice during the month of April. Evening hours of operation are necessary for officers to complete in-service city and state required training. >From April 1st to April 16th, they will practice from 6PM to 7PM, Monday through Thursday. On Friday, April 6th, they will practice from 4PM - 5PM. After April 16th, they will practice from 5PM to 7:30PM, Monday through Thursday.
