Hi! My daughter Jerilynn took the American Red Cross Babysitter's Certification training class downtown this past weekend, and is very interested in starting her babysitting career! She is 11 years old and the 2nd of 5, and we have a 7-month-old baby in the house, so she not only has the official training, but a lot of practical experience with infants (and diapering!) to draw from. We live on King Ave. I would prefer it if her Mother's Helper jobs occurred within reasonable walking/biking distance. Otherwise (given my 5 kids and already-burdened schedule) the employer would have to pick her up. We homeschool! This means that scheduling is more flexible for us than for your average potential Mother's Helper, although we do have a full outside-activities schedule to contend with.
