Sacred Heart Parish Loretta's Christmas Cookie and Candy Walk When: Sunday, December 16, 2012 Time: 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Where: Sacred Heart School Cafeteria 325 Emerson Street Shadyside Over thirty different types of cookies, candies, and Christmas treats will be displayed for sale. Buyers will be given a box or boxes to fill with as many different kinds of cookies they would like. The cookies will then be weighed and will sell for $8.00 a pound. Some cookies and candies will be sold for individual prices. Our Chinese Auction will be featuring many exciting items and baskets including beautiful Christmas Centerpieces, gift card baskets, and a Christmas basket, just to name a few.

[Highland Park] come out to support kids in need!

Come support Jeremiah's Place at our first Annual "Art of Love" Market Thursday, December 13th, 5:30 - 9:00 pm. Local artists have donated pieces that convey many aspects of gentle love, which will be available through silent auction. We've got photographs, oils, woven pieces, block prints, acrylic and even a homemade teddy bear! Values range from $15 - $400. We also have lots of EXCELLENT raffle items, from a wine basket valued at $250 to a GINORMOUS bag of Hershey Kisses (56 ounces!), valued at $12. Jeremiah's Place is a 501c3 whose mission is to open a crisis/relief nursery here in Pittsburgh (our hope is for the East End!) to help kids 0 - 6 who are "in the gap:" kids whose families are in a crisis of some sort and need a safe, warm, loving place until the crisis has passed, but don't need to go "into the system."
