[Highland Park] Elegant, like new, large vintage stoneware platter/plate for sale, light blue

This large, beautiful plate was a wedding gift in the early 1970s. It has been used only a few times to serve cheese and crackers so it is in like new condition. The glaze is light blue with abstract muted brown-green swirls. The plate is app. 17" long x 7-3/4" wide x 2" deep, and is sturdy and heavy in weight. It is signed on the bottom by the Havill pottery in upstate New York. Smoke-free home. $20 janet jai 412-362-7607

[Highland Park] Suspicious Man

We also had an encounter with perhaps the same suspicious man. He saw us putting up Christmas lights on our porch on Mellon Street in the late afternoon a few weeks ago. He said he was visiting his cousin on our block and he asked for bus fare. When I asked for the name of his cousin (since we know the people in the houses where he had been loitering), he came up with a name that we did not recognize so we did not give him bus fare. He walked away peacefully and said something like, "No hard feelings." "I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name forever for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word."
