[Highland Park] Siamese Stray Found

Hi Neighbors! We took a beautiful, sweet Siamese-mix male cat to the ARL last night--he had been hanging around our house (N Saint Clair between Stanton and Jackson) for more than a week looking for warmth and we couldn't stand to see him spend another night outside. He was not microchipped, no collar, and they have not had any inquiries for a cat of his description. If you think this is your cat, you have until Friday to make your claim. If you are looking for a sweet companion, he will be up for adoption Friday or Saturday. We hope he finds a wonderful family--we would take him ourselves if we could fit another cat into our home! [Highland Park] Sunday Afternoon Lecture

Sunday afternoon, 4 p.m., at St. Andrew's, Highland Park Adult Program Series: About Bishops, with the Rev. Dr. Philip Wainwright. Our resident Anglican historian and St. Andrew's Priest Associate has been inspired to offer a brief series reflecting on the historic understanding of the episcopacy within our tradition and on how that understanding might be a source of reforming focus for us in the present day. Phil writes: "Even with a new bishop in place, it's not too late to ask the question, What is the historic role of the bishop in Anglicanism?" If you've attended any of Dr. Wainwright's previous talks on Anglicanism, you won't be surprised to learn that there is more than one answer. "From the government official of Henry VIII's England to the presiding priest of the early Episcopal Church to the apostolic symbol of mystically inclined Victorians: is there a limit? What use can we make of the episcopate in our own day?" Two talks, this afternoon, November 4th, and next Sunday afternoon, November 11th, 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., in Brooks Hall.
