Hello, My name is Jessica and I have an opening for part-time nanny work starting in January. I currently work as a nanny for two families in the area (with a 6 month old and a 2 year old.) One family is moving at the end of December. I will be available any days except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I am reliable and caring with a passion for creating a fun, nurturing and educational environment for little ones of all ages. I have a lot of childcare experience and plenty of excellent references from local families. I am looking for a somewhat long term position with a family I can grow with. I'm also looking to add to the wonderful group of families that I babysit for on an as-needed basis. Below you'll find a more detailed description of my experience and abilities. I'm 30 years old, with no children of my own, and I live nearby in Lawrenceville. I am extremely responsible, patient and caring. I know that when caring for children a "can do" attitude is a must! I definitely bring a positive, upbeat attitude to work every day. I have worked with children of all ages and I understand all aspects of development. I consider my toddler age care to be a strength of mine. I actively engage them in creative play, making learning fun. Lots of reading, songs, letters/numbers/vocabulary, art, blocks, nature walks, and simple projects are what your toddler can expect with me! For infants and babies: soothing techniques, tummy time, transitions from breast to bottle/bottle to solid food, and gentle stimulation with reading, music, and touch. Since I am looking for long term nanny work, primarily during the day, I realize that this will be with babies and children who will require care through the stages of solid food introduction, crawling/walking, potty training, implementing basic rules, and many more milestones. I am up for the challenge :) I work with the parents to implement the techniques they are using, ensuring consistency for the whole family. I would be happy to add some housekeeping and cooking to my responsibilities as well.
