I have 3 great LL Bean kids' items for sale. All are in fantastic shape & have worn really well. 1). Green size 6 snow bibs, $10.00. These run a little big and fit my kids when they were older than 6. Side zippers & velcro closures go all the way up both legs for easy on/off. 2). Red size 8 snow pants, $10.00. Fleece lined, reflective side stripes and ankle zippers. 3). Size 10 flannel lined jeans, $5.00. They are darker than they appear in the lower left photo. Really rugged, warm, and comfortable.

Neighbors, 1). New, never used Thomas & Friends coat hook for $15.00, cash only. 2). Thomas the Tank Engine train table by Learning Curve, made in USAj, $75.00, cash only. The tracks are affixed to the base, and there are tunnels, bridges, a roundhouse and a roundabout. The two photos (middle & right) are two views of the base. Not pictured is the wooden table base that the train base fits into. The train table was a model at Randall's that we bought some years ago for $300. Our boys loved it when they were young. [Highland Park] Schenley High petition

Dear Highland Park Neighbors, If you care about Schenley High School, Pittsburgh Public Schools, and about being sure our board of education is making informed decisions, please sign this petition to request that the Board investigate data surrounding the closing of Schenley High School. The petition simply asks that they obtain a clear statement as to the extent of asbestos in the building's plaster, get a corrected estimate for renovation, and disclose the amount spent to move students on an "emergency" basis. This information should be made public before any further decisions are made regarding the building, now slated to be sold. The impact on the students who were moved was devastating and can't be undone. However, as taxpayers we can bring our voices forward to be sure that decisions with broad educational and financial impact are made transparently and with correct information. It might also help to prevent this wonderful building from being turned into condos. It should be returned to its intended use as a public high school. Once the pumpkins are leather-hard (meaning that they are firm to the touch, yet soft enough to be carved with a knife, just like a real pumpkin) we invite all community members to come in and carve jack-o-lanterns with us. Once you've carved your pumpkin, it will be dried and fired in our kiln to almost 2000 degrees. When you pick it up a week later, it will be a permanent jack-o-lantern, safe for inside and outside use.
