[Highland Park] Cat free to good home

We unfortunately need to find our cat Gilbert a new loving home. Our baby is allergic to cats, and we were managing as best we could with HEPA air cleaners, but our baby now has been diagnosed with sever asthma and our pediatrician highly recommended a no animal household for him as opposed to subjecting our baby to immunotherapy or shots. We've had Gilbert the cat for 8 years and want to find someone loving for him to live with. Gilbert can be shy but warms up quickly (especially with treats). He RARELY jumps on furniture except the couch, he loves the couch. But I can count the number of times I've caught him on the table in the last 8 years on one hand. Currently Gilbert is living in the basement and the kitchen with no access to the rest of the house which is really unfair to him. Gilbert has lived with a dog, they were good friends and snuggled. But it did take him a week to warm up to the dog. Our dog has since past away. Please let me know if you are able to extend some love to this kitty. Thank you.

Thank you to everyone who wrote about the miniature pinscher sightings. If you continue to see the dog, please continue to post time and place. If we're all seeing the same dog, it would seem she has an area ranging from Stanton & Negley to Heberton, the zoo and quite possibly the park. If you ever discover who the owner is, please let that person know. So far, there's been no word from the owner. If I can help this dog out, I'd like to. After years of grief and axiety, my wife and I found a splendid driver to take us to and from the airport. His name is Dan Smith, his number is 412 4176579, and he is first rate. I think he also does more local driving too but we haven't tried him for that. His fares are competitive, his driving is great, and he always comes on time. The last time he took us to the airport, I left my wallet in his cab. We phoned him as soon as I noticed what I'd done, and he came back immediately to give it to us. That's an example of how good and helpful he is. (I hope this recommendation doesn't get him enough business to make him harder to get!) Jim Bogen
