[Highland Park] Classic Sony Trinitron TV

Dear Neighbors, When I moved back from North Carolina two years ago, I moved a wonderful TV back here, too. I enjoyed its high quality when watching cable TV on it there, and it never gave me a moment's trouble -- but here in Pittsburgh my spouse has a large flat screen TV. As I have still not found a place for this old one in our home after almost two years, the time has come to offer it to someone who can use it. We inherited it, but I believe it is a SONY Trititron c 1998. These are quite large (i.e., deep). It has the original remote with it. If you think you will use it, it is yours if you are the first to claim it. It is in our (climate controlled) storage unit, which has ramps and a loading dock, so it is easy to get out without lifting. It is on a cart along with my old reliable Panasonic VCR player, both of which you may also take along with the TV if you like. If you can recommend a company that did a good supplying/setting up tables and chairs and coverings etc for a wedding I'd appreciate their contact information. I know there are a lot of companies out there, but since I don't know what their service is like I prefer to work from recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Hi everybody, We usually have classical music playing for the dogs in the kennel. It's so nice when they are quiet and it's bed time to hear the music playing. Well, we recently had some repairs done and our stereo was damaged in the process. I was hoping somebody had a CD player they don't use anymore or one they can sell to us? [Highland Park] Dog in need of a good home

We are looking for a good home for our lovable 7 year old pit bull. She is well-behaved and people-friendly...but she has not adjusted well to life with a new baby in the house. It is very sad to have to let her go, but keeping her separated from the baby has resulted in a poor quality of life for her over the past four months and she deserves better. Hazel is a brindle pit bull who is very people friendly and a good companion. She needs to be in a single dog home with someone who can handle a strong dog. She loves walks, but she is just as happy to stay home and be a couch potato. We really want to find a good stable home where she can be happy. As a follow-up to my initial email regarding a family at risk of losing their home, on Jan. 14 I will be hosting Rick Swartz from the Bloomfield Garfield Corp. "BGC" as we discuss ideas for how we might help six families this year. Our goal to help support these families is $6,000. I had nearly $1,000 pledged from 5-6 people from the first email. The gifting parameters and administration of the monies (by BGC) all will be discussed at the Jan. 14 meeting, along with details on some o the families. The goal us to get the most meaningful results for as many possible-especially kids-with no overhead. I live in a quiet neighborhood near to a park and nice coffee shop in the Highland Park neighborhood. I am one block from the bus to the University of Pgh. campus that takes 15 minutes.
